Inspector Morse is a British detective drama television series based on a series of novels by Colin Dexter. Set in Oxford, it follows the cultured, opera-loving Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse and his pragmatic partner Detective Sergeant Robert Lewis as they solve complex murders. Season one introduces their uneasy partnership and Morse's melancholic brilliance, blending intellectual puzzles with rich character study in a classic British mystery style.
